Movember is upon us!

It has come to that time of year again as a phenomenon sweeps the world. All around we see men starting to sport hair growth along their upper lip to raise money and awareness for men’s health charities.

The majority of men, even those losing hair in other places, are able to grow a moustache in a month and there’s no better reason to do it for than charity. In fact, we think it can add quite a distinguished look to a bald or cropped head. (See below)

To join, all ‘Mobro’s’ have to do is have a clean shave at the beginning of the month, register online and then leave their moustache to grow! People are encouraged to donate and throw parties at the end of the month to celebrate the moustache.

Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches, including celebrity ones, on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. To date, the campaign has raised over £106 Million worldwide and that is set to rise as the idea catches on.

According to the organisers, big steps have been taken towards changing attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world but there is still much to be done to catch up with the women’s health movement. Via the moustache, Movember aims to fulfill its vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health, by continuing to spark conversation and spread awareness of men’s health each year.

Is your man taking part in Movember? Do you think it looks sexy? Send us some pictures! We would love to see!
