Stacey's Fond Furore PR Farewell!

This will be my last post for a while as I'm off to America for a few months to work as a fitness instructor (slight change from PR I know!)  but I'd just like to share the love I have for Furore PR!

I came to Furore last year before embarking on my final year at University, and have loved working here part-time as their resident junior account executive, social media guru, blogger extraordinaire and modesty merchant (obviously). Since starting here I've been made to feel like a key member of the team, working on everything from Bulgarian dry cured meats to pregnancy care water and fashion labels, but I've loved every second! I never thought I'd learn so much, so I'd like to just give a big shout out and lots of love to all the girls at Furore PR; Nicola, Steph and Nav, as well as to the lovely Mary; the account manager for Stuck for Staff who brightens up our office :)
Us at the Heath Mill Studios launch last week- http://www.heathmillstudios.blogspot.com/
I'm off to New York for four months to work at a girls summer camp, but this blog may not be devoid of Stacey-love completely, we shall see! We've been having as much Furore fun as possible before I go; below is me and my home girls at my USA leaving 'do, and fellow Furore PR girl Steph looking 'reem' with my friend Chris- Top Effort as Lady Gaga!

My last day today has been a hoot, a bit crazy but wonderful as always- plus we've demolished most of this tasty buffet already!

So long for now avid readers, this won't be the last you hear from me on behalf of Furore PR! Keep checking back for new news, features and glimpses into the fabulous world of Furore, join our Facebook group and follow us on Twitter- we're always uploading pictures of funny office goings-on and insider glimpses into our clients products and events!

Ciao for now!

Rooney's Hair Transplant vs. MHT

Wayne Rooney’s recent hair transplant revelation has made him the fourth high profile celebrity this year to undergo the costly hair loss treatment. Gordon Ramsay, James Nesbitt, Jason Gardiner spent from £22,000 to an alleged £30,000 on hair transplant procedures, for the average man suffering from hair loss issues this is no small price to pay.

Aside from the hefty price tag that comes with hair transplants, the down-time needed to recuperate after the procedure means time off work, and the transplanted hair might not even 'take' to its new site. Furthermore, as a hair transplant can be such a drastic look there is very little discretion if time off work is needed and as hair transplanting involves taking grafts containing hair follicles, normally from the back of the head, and transplanting them to the bald part of the scalp, some procedures can leave noticeable scarring. Rooney recently tweeted that his head was "bloody" and "still a bit bruised and swollen", though this is normal for a hair transplant procedure.

The 25-year old footballer had his transplant done at a clinic on London's Harley Street, but did he know that on the same road there's a hair clinic with a difference...

HIS Hair Clinics are able to offer a hair loss treatment that is less invasive, less costly, requires no down time and can still provide individuals the discretion desired before and after such a personal procedure. The treatment is called MHT® scalp pigmentation and allows men who have receding hair or who are completely bald to sport a buzz cut hair style by creating the illusion of hair follicles on the scalp.

Prices for MHT® scalp pigmentation start from £500-£3,000 (depending on how much of the scalp needs to be treated) and so are much more accessible than hair transplants, plus the treatment is practically pain-free and instantaneous. HIS Hair Clinics can be found on Harley Street, as well as in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Marbella, Malaga and Los Angeles, plus a clinic is set to launch in New York this year.

The founders of this innovative procedure, Ian Watson and Ranbir Rai-Watson, also treat many men that have been subjected to significant scarring from hair transplants, to help camoflage the damage the procedure has caused. The pigments used for MHT® scalp pigmentation are tailored to each individual’s skin tone and hair colour allowing better coverage of scarring and more natural looking hairline and hairstyle.

L-R: Ranbir, Adee and Ian
Award winning celebrity hair stylist, Adee Phelan says “If a man is balding or receding the best thing to do is shave the hair down into a cropped hair cut. However, some men may discover patches of their scalp that contain no hair follicles; this is where HIS Hair Clinics MHT® scalp pigmentation can be an ideal solution.”

Meet the New Arrival... WaterBaby!

We have a wonderful new arrival in the office... it's cute, it's exciting and it fills us with joy...
It's our new client; WaterBaby®!

WaterBaby® are a pioneering pregnancy care brand who have come up with an innovative new way for women to consume their daily recommended amount of folic acid, as well as keep hydrated throughout all stages of pre-conception, pregnancy and breast-feeding.

WaterBaby® is an everyday water drink fortified with 400mcg of folic acid (that's exactly how much you need every day), plus a careful blend of vitamins and minerals including Zinc and Calcium, designed to provide nutrition, care and hydration in one easily accessible 500ml bottle.

Everybody knows that pregnant women need folic acid, but not everyone is aware of the reasons why, and the benefits of taking it before conception and after the birth.

Folic acid is an essential B vitamin important for promoting healthy cell growth in the unborn baby, and a good steady supply can help reduce the risk of babies developing a neural tube defect, such as Spina Bifida, which can occur 25 to 29 days into a woman’s pregnancy. As these defects form so early, many women are not even aware that they are pregnant; that's why it's recommended that folic acid supplements are taken as soon as contraception stops being used, to ensure the health and happiness of your unborn child!

WaterBaby® is the brainchild of Ben Ridgway, who watched his wife take folic acid tablets then frustratingy suffer morning sickness. Market research proves this is a very simple yet overly common problem, and thus WaterBaby® was born as an alternative solution! The water based drink contains a slight hint of grapefruit (much more palatable than tablets!) in order to help quench any nauseating feelings. Also, it is designed to fit conveniently into the modern woman's lifestyle, as an accessible drink to be consumed throughout the day rather than a tablet to be taken after meals.

As an added bonus, WaterBaby® keeps you hydrated, which is vital for a healthy pregnancy and can help to alleviate many common side effects of pregnancy, including constipation and haemorrhoids, plus it helps to prepare the body for numerous physiological changes. It is also extremely important for breastfeeding mothers to keep hydrated as approximately 88 per cent of breast milk consumed by the baby is water, which comes directly from the mother’s body.

WaterBaby® is available as singles costing £1.50 per bottle, a weekly pack for £9.99, and a 28 pack to last four weeks costing £29.99 for the month -saving 56p per bottle! So stock up! WaterBaby® has a 6-month shelf-life (without refrigeration), is suitable for vegetarians and comes in fully recyclable packaging.
